Our Programs
Fourteen counseling, treatment, and state-recognized education programs for adults, delivered at our Kuykendahl Road office in English and Spanish.
Court-ordered classes
Assessments & evaluations
Education & awareness
Some of these programs are ordered by a court. Some are education classes a probation department requires. Others people choose for themselves. If you are here on an order, bring the document to intake so we can confirm which program on this page actually satisfies it, because the wrong class does not count.
Substance Use Treatment
Two licensed levels of outpatient care. The difference is how many hours a week you are in the building, and that is decided by assessment rather than preference.
Intensive Outpatient (IOP)
Structured group treatment several evenings a week. Relapse prevention, triggers, coping skills that do not involve a substance, and the work of rebuilding after legal or employment fallout.
Supportive Outpatient (SOP)
A lighter weekly commitment covering the same ground. Frequently the step down from IOP, and sometimes the right place to start.
Drug & Alcohol Assessments and Evaluations
A structured evaluation by a licensed professional covering use history, co-occurring concerns, and legal context, ending in a level-of-care recommendation.
Violence and Anger Programs
These two are not interchangeable, and Texas courts do not treat them as such. Completing anger management when a judge ordered BIPP leaves the condition unsatisfied.
Domestic Violence (BIPP)
The Battering Intervention and Prevention Program. Weekly group work on power and control, the difference between anger and abuse, the effect on children who witness it, and concrete alternatives.
Anger Management
Early warning signs, the thinking that escalates a situation, and de-escalation that holds up under pressure. Also the fear or hurt sitting underneath, since anger is usually the second feeling rather than the first.
DWI and Drug Offender Education
State-recognized courses delivered by certified instructors. Which DWI track applies depends on your history, not on how the case was resolved.
DWI Education (DWI-ED)
Texas alcohol law and penalties, how alcohol and other drugs affect judgment and driving, the physiology of impairment, and a personal risk assessment.
DWI Intervention
Longer and considerably deeper than the education course. Treats the behavior as a recurring pattern rather than an isolated night, spread over weeks so there is time to notice that pattern.
Texas Drug Offender Education Program (TDOEP)
Effects of commonly misused substances, the progression from use to dependence, and the practical consequences of a drug conviction in Texas for employment, housing, and licensing.
Drug Dealers Awareness Program
For people convicted of delivery or distribution offenses. Looks at the harm caused downstream, the escalating sentencing exposure of a second conviction, and what a realistic exit actually involves.
Drug and Alcohol Awareness (DAA)
A shorter awareness class for people who need education rather than treatment. Covers substance effects, tolerance and dependence, and where the line between use and a problem actually sits.
Education and Life Skills Classes
Programs frequently ordered by family courts, criminal courts, and probation departments, and open to anyone who wants them.
Parenting Education
Discipline that works without fear, age-appropriate expectations, co-parenting after a separation, and how children read conflict between the adults around them.
Cognitive Education
The thinking habits that keep leading to the same outcomes. Identifying them, testing them against evidence, and replacing them with something that holds up.
Effective Decision Making
Slowing the gap between impulse and action. Weighing consequences before rather than after, and recognizing the situations where your judgment is reliably worst.
HIV, AIDS and STD Awareness
How infections are actually transmitted, where the real risk sits, prevention, and why testing matters. Frequently a probation condition, and useful regardless.

Choosing the Right Program
The order names the program. Bring the paperwork, not a description of it, and we will confirm the match before you pay for anything.
Start with an assessment. It is often the only thing a court requires anyway, and it settles whether education or treatment is the honest answer.
Confirm with your supervising officer that this provider is approved for your jurisdiction and your specific condition. Approval lists vary by county.
That is a perfectly ordinary reason to call. Treatment, anger management, parenting, and assessments are all open to people who arrive without paperwork.

Program Standards and Oversight
For outpatient chemical dependency treatment covering both SOP and IOP levels of care.
For the Battering Intervention and Prevention Program, and listed on the accredited provider rosters used by Harris County courts.
State education curricula are delivered by instructors certified to teach them.
Assessments and treatment are conducted by counselors holding Texas professional licenses.
What we do not provide. This is an outpatient center. It is not a residential facility, not a detox unit, and there is no medical care, prescribing, or overnight supervision on site.
Anyone facing a medically dangerous withdrawal, an acute psychiatric crisis, or a home situation that makes stability impossible needs a medical evaluation, detox, or residential placement first. Outpatient programming works far better as the step that follows. In an emergency, seek emergency care immediately.
